Canadian law Companies McCarthy Tetrault LLP & Walter, Sorensen LLP for securing the approval of the “Superintendent
of Financial Institutions (OSFI)”.
· Secured technical agreement of OSFI for grant
of license, which has been withheld for want of political stability in Pakistan, originating during last days of Mr. Pervez
Musharraf government.
· The knowledge of modern banking operations,
technical capability and superior quality of NBP Business Plan and Proposal was greatly appreciated by the Office of the Superintendent
of Financial Institutions (OSFI) team in presence of the legal counsels and the President of National Bank of Pakistan in

million from BCCI before it went into bankruptcy, whereas all Saudi banks, including the one led by Mr. Shaukat Aziz suffered
huge losses on that account.
· Personal
performance was appreciated before the Pakistani Directors, by the Governor and Deputy Governor of Saudi Arabian Monetary
Agency (SAMA) in the words – “We were never happy with Pakistani Management, but this man has performed miracles.”

and NBP as best as it could be possible in the joint venture, yet safeguarding the interests of Saudi shareholders and depositors.
